The short version: Golden Abs doesn't collect, record, upload or share any of your data. The camera counts your reps live on your iPhone, and your progress stays on your device.
This policy covers the iPhone app Golden Abs and its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, made by Neural Studio ("we").
Camera
If you turn on camera counting during a workout, the app uses your iPhone's camera to count reps and time holds.
- Each video frame is analyzed on your iPhone by Apple's built-in body-pose detection and then discarded. The app finds the position of a few body points (like shoulders, hips and knees) to count movements.
- Video and images are never recorded, saved or uploaded.
- Camera counting is optional. You can always count by hand, and you can turn off camera access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera.
Data stored on your iPhone
To work, the app saves a small amount of information on your device only:
- The name you choose, the character you picked, your level and whether gentle mode is on.
- Your answers to the onboarding health check are used only to turn on gentle mode; the answers themselves are not stored.
- The workouts you completed and when, with your reps, hold times, XP, energy and fitness-test results, used for streaks, the calendar and your progress.
- Your reminder settings.
This information is shared only between the app and its widgets on the same iPhone. It's included in your device backups like any other app data, and deleting the app removes it. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. The app does not read from or write to Apple Health.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the morning and evening workout reminders are scheduled on your iPhone itself. No server is involved. You can change them in the app (More → Reminders) or turn them off in Settings → Notifications.
No data collection
The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers. It works without an internet connection. We do not collect, sell or share any personal information.
Health and safety
Golden Abs is a fitness program, not medical advice. Check with a doctor before starting if you are pregnant or postpartum, have back, neck or hip pain, or recently had surgery or a hernia, and stop any exercise that causes pain.
Feedback and ratings
If you choose to send feedback from inside the app, it opens your own email app with a draft addressed to us, including your rating, your message, the app version and your iOS version. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. We use emails we receive only to reply and to improve the app.
The "Rate Golden Abs" option uses Apple's built-in rating prompt; any rating or review you leave is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
Children
The app doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
